FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP IS IN NEED OF YOUR HELP

Franklin Township has a number of volunteer positions that we are looking for citizens to fill.  It’s a great opportunity to learn more about your community, meet your neighbors and have an impact on the future of our Township.

Environmental Commission:    This commission is charged with the protection, development and use of natural resources in the Township.  The Environmental Commission meets on the last Monday of each month.

Land Use Board:  The primary responsibilities of the Board include the development and adoption of Franklin’s Master Plan, review of land use applications and recommendations for revisions to land use ordinances.  The Land Use Board meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.

Open Space Advisory Committee:   This advisory committee is responsible for identifying and assessing open space and farmland preservation opportunities in Franklin.  The Open Space Advisory Committee meets on the first Monday of each month.

Recreation Commission:  This commission organizes and runs events for the children of Franklin including a summer program, basketball and the Halloween Trunk or Treat.  The Rec Commission meets on the first Tuesday of each month.

For more information on any of these opportunities, please check out our minutes and agendas or please feel free to contact any member of the Township Committee to discuss.  While on the website, please be sure to sign up for our email data base.
